Volunteering at St. Patrick's is easy! By: Admin Staff Submitted: 12/12/2006
Parents can become active in their child's education by volunteering though the St. Patrick's Activity Club better know as SPAC. Twenty hours per parent are requested but many families happily put in many more.
Volunteering Saves! It is estimated that the school saves $10 per hour of volunteer time. Choose from a variety of activities to volunteer: antiques & craft fair, academics, art auction, baking cookies for school events, bloodmobile, book fair, Boy Scouts, Christmas bazaar, Christmas program, concessions, Fall Festival, field trip chaperon or driver, field day, Girl Scouts, hall monitor for sporting events, lunch room, Music Gala, play ground duty, public relations, room parent, rummage sale, science fair, Scrips, SPAC dance, spring concert, spring flower sale, teacher appreciation, Thanksgiving lunch for students, coaching, working admissions for sporting events, youth group.
SPAC meeting are usually the first Wednesday of the month. Watch for informational fliers about SPAC events sent home with students.
Other ways you can volunteer are in the lunch room and for playground duty. Get more information on these items on this site under playground duty and school lunches.
